I'm an independent contractor

Whenever my stepson needs a ride to school or needs to be picked up from school, I turn off the Lift driver app. Because I'm an independent contractor l won't be asked why I stopped working. I can go to the mechanic shop to repair the car, go to the car wash to clean the car, go to the service station to fill gas in the car. Also, I can eat when I'm hungry and rest when I'm tired. When I feel ready to work, I just turn on the app. There is no pressure because you're not being paid by the hour. You're not an employee.
